Join host Colin Robertson in conversation with Dr. Tworek as they discuss the origins of political interference in the media, today's hyper-connected sociopolitical landscape and its implications for constructive discourse, Russia's campaign to influence the 2015 U.S. Presidential election, Facebook's recent problems with privacy and fake news, as well as the role of government in legislating the media diet of its constituents.

  • Colin Robertson (host): A former Canadian diplomat, Colin Robertson is Vice President of the Canadian Global Affairs Institute.
  • Heidi Tworek: Heidi Tworek is an Assistant Professor of International History at the University of British Columbia, a visiting fellow at the Joint Center for History and Economics at Harvard University, a non-resident fellow at the German Marshall Fund of the United States, and a Fellow with the Canadian Global Affairs Institute.
